The portion of beef you are buying is a percentage of a whole live animal. We will have that animal harvested and processed for you. You will receive a percentage of the beef equal to the share of the live animal you have purchased.
Your steer will be pasture-raised and pasture-finished. You can be assured that they will have the best possible life that can be provided. Our pasture-finished beef will be naturally lower in fat than grain-finished beef. This finishing on natural feed provides a better flavor to your finished beef. Our beef is fed small amounts of grain to improve quality of life and as gentling and training incentives so they are used to people and happy.
A share of a steer for 2025 will cost:
$1,000 for a quarter
$1,950 for a half
$3850 for whole.
What you can expect:
The average hanging weight is 500 lbs - net weight averages 60% of hanging so the approximate net for a whole steer is 300 lbs in the freezer.
Anticipated hanging weight is estimated to be about 500lbs. Net weight breakdown for a whole beef would be 300 lbs for a whole, 150 lbs for a half, 75 lbs for a quarter, delivery would be at the beginning of November.
The discount is offered at the half to encourage you to team up with family and friends for the purchase.
